Held in San Diego, Comic-Con is one of the biggest
convention of comic book fans in the world and, judging by the look of Darth
Vader, one of the biggest buffets in the world

Comic-Con is a celebration of comic books, graphic novels
and the worlds of sci-fi and fantasy

One of the highlights of the convention is the Masquerade
best costume competition. Batman’s enemy Poison Ivy may be at a disadvantage
having lft part of her costume at home.

Comic-Con celebrates comics and graphic novels from all
over the world with a hall dedicated to Anime classics from Japan. We don’t like
to judge by appearances, but presumably that’s where she’s heading

Silk Spectre from Watchmen, Alan Moore’s seminal 80s
comic. The series that made it acceptable for grown-ups to read comics

The Caped Crusader has been DC’s enduring icon since he
first graced the pages of Detective Comics number 27 in May 1939. In February
this year, a copy of that comic book sold for a world record $1,075,500.

Batman and Robin’s cousins from the West Coast dress a lot
less formally.

One of the biggest rumours flying around Comic-Con was
that Wonder Woman and her indestructible bustier will soon be flying on to our
movie screens.

The surprise new cinema franchise, Iron Man has been
fighting super villains, and his own worst excesses, since his creation in 1963
at the hands of Jack Kirby, Don Heck, Larry Lieber and, of course, Stan Lee.

Jessica Rabbit remains top of the list of sexiest cartoon
characters of all time.

Another huge draw was the new Green Hornet film, with Seth
Rogen and Jay Chou as Britt Reid and Kato taking on the nefarious Chudnofsky
(Christoph Waltz). Fair to assume that Seth probably won’t look this good in his
costume… Best of the weekend act…
